I Don't Feel Very Demonic
A good example of what happens when you read into things a little TOO literally.

The Devil is a BSD user.

Maybe I'm out of line here, but I thought the "satanic, unevolvable chimera" rather cute.

Want Text?

So imagine for a second that you've just got to chop something up that's really short and really quick. You don't want to write a script to do the job, because its not really worth the effort. But rest assured, you know will have to do this little text chop job again in the future.

Ready to Give Up

So I'm certain that this happens to everyone at some point. But I am sincerely ready to give up. I'm not coming out enough. I don't think I'm doing much better here than I was doing in Raleigh. And now, I'm stuck with something I can't pay.

First Time In Florida

So for the first time in about six months, I've taken a trip back down south to my old stomping grounds. I haven't seen Saint Pete in any way for a little over a year.

Coffee and the Coworking Scene

I am an idiot. I spent (during the entire month of January) fifty-four dollars and fifty-eight cents ($54.58 for clarity) on coffee. You may scoff and say, "Stop your grumbling! You should be smarter with your money. Like me." or "Ha! That's nothing. I spent one-hundred fifty-four dollars and fifty-eight cents on coffee". In both cases, I would kindly retort "Good for You!" There is, however, an itch that needs to be scratched.

Songs You Will Probably End Your Relationship Over
The following is probably more appropriate for Twitter; but if your anniversary song is anything produced by Lil Jon and the Eastside Boys, P. Diddy or Juelz Santana, you will not have a relationship with that person next year. Just. Saying.

Please Oppose SOPA (So I Can Use Wikipedia Again, Thank You)

Looking across the blogosphere, it seems that the SOPA fight is in full effect. I can't lie. I've been at work all day. So besides the occasional read of a blog article describing the destruction of the world as we know it, I haven't done all that much to spearhead the movement against SOPA. Shit! I haven't even censor-blocked my site!

My Hacker Boss

So, as I mentioned in a previous post, I am a happy employee (now full-time) at a "startup" telecom company in the Raleigh-Durham Metropolitan area. My duties have grown exponentially in just the past two weeks. You know how they say, "Be careful what you wish for; you just might get it!". Well, I wasn't careful enough. I synced my fairly new Evo with the work email and now my phone is stuck displaying an aggravating pin combination every time I wish to text somebody. I can't even tweet useless nuances like "Just walked the dog." or "Heading to Homer's for Chicken n' Biscuits, biatches!" without having to put in my pin code. Alas, the price we pay to keep the money rolling in.

Changes and Progressions
Mad site changes to hit crudely amusing real soon. The web software, draftling, is nearing its beta stage and all types of interesting features will be available. Of course, the missing comments and all will be rectified. Now you too can have angry rebuttals and outbursts.

Red Hat HQ is in Raleigh

Was really searching for something to say today. Couldn't find it, until about 30 seconds ago. Why is this big news? Red Hat probably has the highest revenue (and profit) of any open-source company at the moment. They also are the largest open-source company that has some stake in the Linux world. (You may disagree, but I'll politely remind you that IBM's primary business does NOT come from open-source, neither does Cisco. These are still primarily hardware manufacturers.)
